Love at the time of Covid

Love at the time of Covid. The festival of love is just around the corner; every year on 14 February we let ourselves be carried away by the magical atmosphere. Even now, at this critical time, in the face of the paralysing pandemic associated with "Mr Covid" and its restrictions. But paradoxically, we might find the right atmosphere in the intimacy of a domestic hearth, perhaps by candlelight!
The festival of love has ancient roots and love has always been celebrated at the table, and why not do it with the delicacies that "Rosso" offers? You can prepare romantic dinners with our products, selected by culinary experts, accompanied by a good glass of wine. Then you can surprise your beloved with a sweet, given the good selection of pastries we have (castagnole, mostaccioli, pastries made of fragrant shortbread with butter, ferratelle, amaretti, cantuccini, typical sweets from Abruzzo with fragrant almonds, donuts). But if you want to be creative, you can prepare some sweets yourself, with your own hands, maybe together with your beloved. Use our delicious fruit jams or our delicious spreads, or maybe some chocolate. The irreplaceable "Baci Perugina" are certainly not to be missed. Besides the quality of an exquisite chocolate with a fragrant whole hazelnut, the name itself expresses romance and invites you to kiss. In addition, each praline contains a small foil with a loving message.
Several legends associated with this anniversary have emerged from historical sources; among these, we recall a legend that says that Valentine was a priest who lived in Rome during the time of Emperor Claudius; it was the third century. The emperor of the time decided that war was not a matter for romantically inclined men; the consequence of this idea was the abolition of marriage and betrothal for boys of military age. This idea did not please Valentine, a militant Christian priest. He was against it and wanted one day, precisely on 14 February, to celebrate a liturgy in honour of love and sentimental bonds!
So how can we not celebrate this day? But in a cosmopolitan vision, we could define and live this special day as a day dedicated to universal love, a bit like in the United States where Valentine's Day is the celebration of those who "love each other" and not just those who are in a couple; children prepare sweets and cards to give to their parents, teachers and classmates. So take advantage of the wide offer of "Rosso" and enrich this day with a table full of good food and drinks!
