A more delicate and sweeter liqueur than its big brother "Green Chartreuse", but like the latter is produced using a macerated mixture of over 130 herbs and flowers and obtained without artificial flavours. The Chartreuse has a very strong characteristic flavour, very sweet but also spicy and pungent. Its taste changes depending on its serving temperature. Often served with ice, it can also be added to cocktails. Some drink recipes require only a few drops of Chartreuse as its aroma is so assertive.
