One of the few abbeys to carry on the production of beverages, particularly wine, operating near the city of Bolzano, in the Trentino Alto Adige region of northern Italy.

Gewurztraminer is an aromatic white wine, straw-yellow in colour with golden highlights. 

It has a pleasant aroma with a bouquet of rose and lychee, clove, vanilla, sweet figs and grapefruit. It also has an enveloping flavour with a lingering finish. 

It goes well with curry dishes, goose liver pate, savoury cheeses, raw fish and oysters.
