The SI.GI Agricultural Company was founded in 1996 from the passion of Silvano Buccolini and Giuliana Papa for products and recipes of their family, and for Marche region culinary tradition. La Visciola is a small wild black cherry (Prunus Cerasus). It is obtained by natural dehydration of the whole fruit, left to soak in the sun in its own juice. Of fluid consistency including the whole fruit, it has an intense and persistent scent of undergrowth. It is a unique product not only for the particular processing but also because the syrup that is formed is made only of its own juice, without added water. Its flavour is intense and reminiscent of ripe red fruits, with a slight tannic aftertaste. Suitable for preparing cocktails, or mixed with sparkling wines and white wines or in the preparation of desserts based on hot ricotta or custard.
